Cool Wallpapers For Your Droid

Recently, I was trying to find some creative commons licensed media for a video project I was putting together. I started searching Flickr for some technology related pictures that I could use in my project. Part of the video was to contain information about smart phones, so I was trying to find pictures of iPhones and the phone I use, the Motorola Droid. I was plesantly surprised to find a Flickr usergroup called, Moto Droid Wallpapers & Backgrounds. In that group, you will find some really nice backgrounds that have been created specifically for use on the Droid. The best part is that they are there for the taking and can be used by anyone. Here are two of my favorties.

Thanks to Flickr user aka_sulley for both of these cool images.

It's back to the basics, today.

2009-12-26_10

I'm a bit tired of feeling like garbage from all of the gluttony that
I have allowed to run rampant over the course of this holiday season,
so far. Last night, I decided I had to break the cycle. So today, I am
going back to the basics. I am going to eat very clean today and here
is how I started.

For breakfast, I sauteed 1/2 C green peppers and 1/2 C red onion in 1
Tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and then scrambled in 5 egg whites. I
also used 1 Tbsp of Heinz One Carb Ketchup. To compliment my perfect
protein, fat and fibrous carbohydrate combination, I boiled 1/4 C of
organic steel cut oats in water with cinnamon and Truvia sweetener.
For me, breakfast isn't really complete without coffee. I made my
normal "half-caff" blend of 2 Tbsp Starbucks Decaf Breakfast Blend
with 2 Tbsp Maxwell House Medium Roast, sweetened with Truvia and with
2% milk. There it is! A balanced breakfast anyone could be proud of.
:) All of that and only about 300 calories.

Water consumption will also be a primary focus, as I have been feeling
the effect of not getting enough water. I normally drink at least 150
oz. of water a day. So far, so good. I am feeling better already.

Creation North East 2008 - Candle Lighting

Even though it's really ugly and raining outside, I can't help but be excited for my vacation next week. Why, you ask? Let me tell you. :)

Next week, my family and (some) friends will make our way to rural Huntingdon County (PA) to enjoy Creation NE 2009! Creation festival has become and annual vacation week for my family. It is an amazing chance for us to reconnect with our Christian beliefs and values in a very personal and intimate way. Creation is so much more than a Christian music festival. It is fellowship with the body of Christ! To remind myself of what next week will be like, I am posting a video that I shot at last years candle lighting portion of the festival.
